Requesting an Auxiliary Aid or Service

Rowan-Salisbury Schools is committed to ensuring effective communication with parents, other relatives, visitors, companions, applicants, participants, and members of the public who have hearing, vision, or speech disabilities. Individuals who need an auxiliary aid or service in order to communicate effectively or to participate in or benefit from a District program, service, or activity may request communication assistance.

Individuals may suggest the specific aid, service, or communication method they need. Rowan-Salisbury Schools will consider requests individually and will give primary consideration to the individual's requested aid or service. Communication assistance necessary for effective communication will be provided free of charge.

Advance notice is encouraged when possible so that arrangements can be made; however, requests made without advance notice will be addressed to the extent possible.
